This is will be a four part series of inversion workshops. Each workshop will focus on a different kind of inversion, with each session incorporating skills, techniques, and drills, to allow participants to learn the fundamentals of inversions, and explore building their strength and abilities going upside down in headstand, forearm stand, or handstand. Other arm balances will also be touched on.
Each workshop will be 90 minutes long and follow a basic structure of a 30-45 minute vinyasa style yoga flow to warm up the body before working on inversion skills, including core and stability exercises. There will also be time spent opening up and stretching tight shoulders and hips.
Participants can join in all four sessions, or pick and choose which workshop to attend.
About the Teacher:
Maddie is an experienced yoga teacher, having taught for several years and continually refining and expanding her skills through participating annually in teacher trainings, as well as regular specialised technique workshops. She is familiar with teaching beginners and advanced practitioners, as well as accommodating students with injuries. Her experience and knowledge means that she is able to suggest variations or modifications on skills, techniques, and poses, making her classes accessible for all levels of practitioners.
